EDOC – Executive Director of Care

Dr. Chris Mazzuchin N.D. ensures proper functioning of Universal Home Care by overseeing all day to day operations, including client care, sales and marketing, finances, administration and technical issues.  He establishes and maintains the visibility and positive image of Universal Home Care in the community.  Chris oversees all Health and Safety programs policies and procedures to ensure employees and client safety is always maintained.

Chris Mazzuchin is also the Clinical Director of the Universal Medical Centre.  Chris has been in private practice both as a physiotherapist, a naturopathic doctor and counsellor for over 12 years.  Chris was raised in Sudbury and is an active community member.  Chris was the head physiotherapist for four successful multidisciplinary clinics in the north, implementing innovative programs to service Sudbury’s community before developing his own clinic.  He also held an academic position in the Gerontology program out of Huntington University located on the Laurentian University campus and is currently on staff at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine.

Mrs. Wendy Major creates and maintains positive relationships within the community to promote the awareness of Universal Home Care and its multidisciplinary approach to in home health care services available.

Wendy has over eight years of clinical experience working with older adults as a physiotherapy aid/ exercise therapist.  She is responsible for the implementation of programs and treatments for all of our client’s contingent upon their individual needs.  Wendy is especially proud of the falls prevention program offered to our seniors as being a pro-active approach to wellness. She aspires to be one of Sudbury’s health care innovators and leaders in this field.

Wendy is sincerely adored by both the clients to whom she treats and by the staff in the homes in which she works.  She is the best when it comes to blending professionalism with compassion and competent care.
